Frequently asked
questions.

Everything you need to know about ordering, submitting your sample, and what to expect from your report.

The process
How does the process work, step by step?

1. Select your compound from our catalog and complete checkout.
2. You will receive an email with our receiving address and instructions for labelling your sample.
3. Ship your sample to that address using a tracked carrier of your choice.
4. Once received, your sample is forwarded to our analysis facility and testing begins.
5. Your Certificate of Analysis report is delivered to your email within 5–7 business days of the sample arriving at the lab.

How long does the process take?

5–7 business days from the date the sample arrives at our analysis facility. Transit time to reach us is not included — plan accordingly. You will receive your report by email as soon as analysis is complete.

Can I test multiple compounds in one order?

Yes. Each compound requires a separate test. Add multiple products to your cart and check out together — you will receive a single set of shipping instructions and each sample will be processed independently.

Sending your sample
What exactly do I need to send?

One unopened, sealed vial of the compound to be tested. For raw powder, send a minimum measured quantity in a tightly sealed glass or plastic vial. The exact amount required depends on the compound type and any add-on tests selected — this will be confirmed in your post-order email. Label each sample with the compound name only.

Does the vial need to be unopened?

Yes. Samples must be in their original, factory-sealed condition. Opened or reconstituted vials cannot be accepted, as handling after opening affects sample integrity and the reliability of the result.

How should I package my sample for shipping?

Wrap the vial in bubble wrap or foam padding and place it in a sturdy outer box or padded envelope. Powder samples should be double-sealed — first in a small zip-lock or sealed bag, then inside a secondary container. The goal is to ensure the sample survives transit without breaking, leaking, or becoming contaminated. You are responsible for the quality of the packaging.

Who pays for shipping, and what if my sample arrives damaged?

Shipping costs to our receiving address are entirely your responsibility. You choose the carrier and pay for the shipment. If your sample arrives damaged, broken, or in a condition that prevents reliable testing — due to inadequate packaging — we are unable to process it and no refund will be issued. Please package carefully.

I am shipping from outside the EU — do I need to declare the contents?

Yes. All customs declarations must be accurate. Our receiving facility is located within the EU. Any delays, seizures, or additional costs resulting from customs are the sender’s responsibility. We strongly recommend using a tracked international carrier and declaring the contents as “research chemical sample for laboratory analysis.”

Your report
What does the report include?

Identity verification, quantitative purity analysis, a photograph of the submitted sample, and a unique verification code for online authentication. Results include explicit measurement uncertainty ranges.

What is the difference between identity testing and purity testing?

Identity testing confirms whether your compound is what it claims to be — the correct molecule. Purity testing measures what percentage of the sample is actually the target compound. A sample can pass identity testing but still be low in purity — or vice versa. Our standard tests cover both.

What if the test shows the wrong compound or very low purity?

You receive the actual result regardless of outcome. A failed test gives you documented, professional evidence — in writing — that you can use with your supplier when requesting a refund or replacement. Many suppliers honour claims backed by a third-party Certificate of Analysis.

Can I verify my report online?

Yes. Every report carries a unique verification code. Anyone can use it to confirm the report is authentic and unaltered — without any personal information being exposed. This is useful if you share your report with a third party who wants to verify its authenticity.

How is the report delivered, and can I request it again later?

As a professionally formatted PDF, sent to the email address used at checkout. Reports are stored and can be re-requested at any time by contacting us at info@peptest.eu.

Payment & confidentiality
What payment methods are accepted?

All major credit and debit cards, plus digital wallets. Payments are processed through Shopify’s secure checkout.

Is my order confidential?

Yes. All client and submission information is handled with strict confidentiality throughout the entire process. We do not share personal data with any third party.

Who can see my results?

Only you. Results are delivered exclusively to the email address used at checkout. Our online verification system lets third parties confirm a report’s authenticity without revealing any personal information linked to the order.

What we test
Which compounds can you test?

We test 52 research chemical compounds including peptides, proteins, and growth factors. See our full catalog for the complete list. If you are unsure whether your compound is covered, contact us before ordering.

What are the add-on tests?

Optional additional analyses include endotoxin testing, microbiological screening (TAMC/TYMC), pathogen screening (E. coli + Salmonella), and SDS-PAGE analysis. These can be added at checkout and are particularly relevant for injectable-grade quality verification.

Are you ISO 17025 accredited?

No, and deliberately so. ISO 17025 accreditation is designed for regulated pharmaceutical and clinical laboratories — it is not suited to independent testing of research compounds, and accredited labs typically charge €200–1,000+ per sample for pharmaceutical clients only. Our testing is performed by a professional certified laboratory using validated methods. Every report includes explicit measurement uncertainty ranges, consistent with rigorous analytical practice.

Can I request a compound not in your catalog?

Possibly. Contact us before ordering and we will confirm whether your specific compound can be accommodated.

Still have a question?

We reply in plain language, without the runaround.
